LoveBox

Delete your LoveBox account

Permanent action. Deleting LoveBox does not delete your Gmail or Google account. Creating a LoveBox account or pairing does not start a paid subscription.

Request deletion without the app

Enter the verified email address on your LoveBox account. The response is intentionally the same whether or not an account exists. If the address is eligible, LoveBox sends a six-digit code that expires in ten minutes.

Never enter a password, sign-in token, identity credential or intimate information here. Partner details are not needed. The code proves control of the account mailbox and can delete only the LoveBox account bound to that challenge.

A receipt email confirms your verified deletion request. A separate email confirms when account deletion is complete. An encrypted delivery address expires after one day and is removed during scheduled cleanup if these notices could not be sent.

Request deletion in the app

  1. Open Settings, then Your data & choices, or open the Privacy & consent icon.
  2. Choose Delete account.
  3. Review and confirm deletion while signed in. Refresh your sign-in if the app requires it.

When the server accepts the request, sharing stops and both accounts are unpaired. Deletion runs in the background; a pending message does not mean erasure is already complete.

What is removed

In-app and outside-app requests enter the same deletion state machine. Acceptance immediately restricts sharing, clears both signals, unpairs both accounts, removes the deleting user's push registration and releases owned device authorization. Retryable background work erases PostgreSQL application data, soft-deletes the Microsoft Entra External ID customer identity and then permanently purges it. Your partner's separate account and owned device remain available for a future pairing.

Server unbinding does not erase a physical ESP32. The user must factory reset each linked device to clear its locally stored Wi-Fi credentials and private key.

An unverified signup cannot erase invitations by claiming another person's email. Requests about those invitations need separate mailbox verification and operator review.

Timing and remaining copies

Background work safely retries failures; a request receipt is not confirmation that every erasure step finished. Completed tombstones have a 35-day technical default measured from confirmed directory deletion. PostgreSQL point-in-time recovery is 7 days and Log Analytics retention is 30 days. Recovery procedures must reapply pending deletion state before restored traffic is served.

Identity, email, notification, app-store and support providers apply their own retention policies. Contact support for information about provider-held records relevant to your request. Delivered emails, screenshots and files you already received cannot be recalled by account deletion.

The operator must explain completion and any legitimate remaining retention, and meet applicable legal response obligations. Read the privacy retention details.

Stopping sharing without deleting

Turning off your own signal, resetting both, unlinking or withdrawing consent is separate from account deletion. Unlinking and withdrawal end the pair and clear both signals; withdrawal does not delete the account. To request a copy of your personal data, contact support. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete the account.
